WHAT IS PILATES?
Originating from a technique created by
Joseph H. Pilates more than 70 years ago, Pilates movements are based
on proper breathing techniques, which activate core stabilizing
muscles, segmental articulation of the spine, organization of the
shoulder girdle and ribcage, and proper postural alignment of the spine
on lower extremities. The result is a strong, long, lean body that
displays notably improved flexibility, balance, coordination and
posture.
• Post-Natal Pilates
60 min. Participants should be at least
six weeks post-partum and have physician’s approval to begin exercise
regime. Participants are required to attend one Private Assessment
before entering Post Natal group classes.
Classes incorporate both mat work and Allegro exercises for total body reconditioning. Special attention is paid to the core control muscles of the lower abdominal region and pelvic floor which are strengthened, creating a muscular “corset” to support the spine. 4-6 pax max, depending on time/day All 60-minute Pilates
group classes are $290 per person, drop-in rate. Packages are available. *Clients who would like to enroll
in the post-natal class MUST attend a private assessment prior to the
start of the class.
